SAN DIEGO (May 13, 2017) Volunteers from the USS Essex (LHD 2) holding a trophy earned for collecting the most trash during Naval Base San Diego’s (NBSD) “Main Street Clean up” event, May 13. NBSD hosted 16 participating commands from the San Diego area for clean up event within a 5-mile radius of Mariner’s park.
