Kenya. This is the Southeast face Mount Kenya as it was in 1976/77 with the twin peaks of Batian 17,058ft; 5199m on the left and Nelion 17,022ft 5188m on the right. The peaks are split at the top with the gap named the Gates of Mists from where the mountain is split by the old volccanic core of the Diamond Couloir. The jagged peak to the left is Point John while the snowy slopes on the right are of the Lewis Glacier that lead to the satellite peak of Point Lenana
