Kutchi Rabari Boy, Kutch

Kutch is a large district in North-West Gujarat, with a population of only 2 million. It is inhabited by a variety of ethnic groups who have managed to preserve their traditions. Kutchi Rabari are usually tall with typical physical characteristics: their faces are oval-shaped and their eyes are green or blue. To some extent, they have adopted agriculture or other professions. Kutchi Rabari women wear Cuda, heavy ivory bracelets on both arms. Their woollen shawls are decorated with appliqué work. Tattoos are an important adornment with all Rabari women in Kutch.
