Limburgite. Limburgite is a dark coloured igneous volcanic rock resembling basalt in appearance, but normally not containing feldspar. They consist essentially of olivine and augite with a brownish glassy groundmass. Here a void in the rock (white centre) has been filled with a crystal of another mineral.
