Fairy ring on lawns

Fairy rings are common grassland problems but are perfectly natural and do no long-term damage to grass. The fungi are merely breaking down the organic matter in the soil. There is no chemical control available and digging out the affected areas and re-turfing is labour intensive, with no guarantee the problem will not return.
