C, a southern medium, compact, shouldered ; berry small, round, dark almost black ; fleshtender vinous, juicy, sweet; desirable for wine and table ; too late in ripening for thenorth ; known in Texas under different names. 1^8 OUR NATIVE GRAFE. LEAVENWORTH. {Labr.) A white Grape ; bunch large, compact, handsome ;berry large, very firm, but not pulpy, sweet, rich, sprightly, of the most agreeableflavor with some of the native aroma, but suits the taste of nearly every person ;tolerably vigorous, hardy, healthy and productive ; free from rot and mildew ; ripensvery early, and will hang on the vines long after ripening ; originated in Leaven-worth, Kan., from Concord.
