Brixham Road, Birmingham, 21st March 2023 - West Midlands Police increased foot patrols on both Brixham Road and Shenstone Road after they launched an investigation after a man was set alight close to Brixham Road in Edgbaston, Birmingham, just after 7pm yesterday (Monday). West Midlands Fire Service returned to the scene which is close to the junction of Brixham Road and Shenstone Road It’s believed the man, who was walking home from Dudley Road mosque, was approached by a man. He spoke to him briefly before spraying him with an unknown substance and then his jacket was set alight, causing burns to his face.
