BEDFORD SPRINGS, PA. Bedford Springs, located at Bedford, Pa., ten miles fromHyndman Station, on the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, in theAllegheny Mountains, 1,100 feet above tidewater, comprise theMagnesia Spring, the Sulphur Spring, the Pure Spring and theIron Spring. The mountain air is bracing, the nights are de-lightful, with no mosquitoes, and malaria is unheard of. It hasbeen patronized as a summer resort for three-quarters of a cen-tury, and the attractions of the place are well known. Celebrated as mineral waters have become all over the worldfor the cure of disease, there has been none to surpass, and in thiscountry none to equal in virtue, the Bedford Magnesia Spring. The Sulphur Spring rises on t he west side of Shovers Creek,about two hundred yards distant from the Magnesia is less copious than the others, and the water exhales a verystrong odor of sulphurated hydrogen gas.
