For the past several weeks Palestinians have come together to protest in the Palestinian West Bank neighborhood of Bir’ona against the Israeli government’s policy of land confiscation in the West Bank. Palestinians of all faiths, including Muslim and Christian have been coming every Sunday to land that is in the process of being appropriated by the Israeli government in order to continue building the cement wall in and around the West Bank. Earlier in 2015, the Israeli High Court overturned a previous decision that would have protected the land in Bir’ona, which belongs to the Church from being used as a buffer zone and as the area where the security barrier was planning to be built.
