The Maifeld (Mayfield), Langemarck Hall, Bell Tower and tiered seating at the Olympic Stadium complex in Berlin. The tower offers tourists a panoramic view of Berlin. The huge lawn of the Maifeld was planned for gymnastic demonstrations, and annual May Day celebrations by the government. During the 1936 Olympics, the Maifeld was used for polo and equestrian dressage events. After the Second World War, the occupying forces of the British Army (Berlin Infantry Brigade) celebrated the official birthday of the King or Queen every year on the Maifeld and also used it for sporting activities including cricket. It has been the home to the Berlin Cricket Club since 2012. The Bell Tower was the only part of the Reichssportfeld that was damaged in the war. It was demolished in 1947 but reconstructed in 1962 by Werner March and is a popular tourist destination and offers panoramic views of Berlin
