The Village Sign to the historic village of Happisburgh on the north-east coast of Norfolk, England


The Village Sign, carved by Harry Carter, depicts; Edric the Dane, a Viking Lord who once owned the village, a mass baptism of 170 people in 1793, Maud Bigob (b. 1085) who received Happisburgh as part of her dowry, St Marys Church, the lighthouse, a traditional lifeboat and a sheef of wheat.
