Tkis trail,which has been called tke Iontiac tiail. runs northwestward and crosses the southboundary of Pontiac township, about one and a half miles nortkwest of Labyrinthlake, and a little less than a mile west of the southeast corner of the to])ogiaphy of Pontiac is much more rugged than is that of Ossian to ;^outh. There are several ])rominent hills se])arated by comparatively wide, andsometinus (lat. \alleys. the latter covered with clay, boukkr clay and more seldomsand.
