An ornate section of St Mildred's church, Whippingham near East Cowes, Isle of Wight.


St Mildred's (named after an Anglo Saxon Princess) Church was designed by the Prince Consort, Albert, husband to Queen Victoria and completed in 1860. Built on the foundations of a Norman church from 1066, the church is situated in the village of Whippingham ,close to Osborne House, the royal residence of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert on the Isle of Wight.
