It differs from all others, growing in a compact bush about 2 feet high by 2 feet in diame- ter. Its erect spikes of flowers of brilliant scarlet stand clear above the dark-green foliage and completely cover the plant. It attracts immediate attention in the garden, and is one of the most effecnve and gorgeous plants in culiivition.
