Frons as in the other species; inner bristles of lower row not approximate and as large as the other bristles, outer bristles of lower row not present; supraantennals present. Antennæ with the third joint about as in dauci, arista shorter than in similis, of about the length of third joint, distinctly pubescent. Palpi small and narrow, black, with short bristles. Thorax black, dull, with brownish pube- scence. Abdomen black and dull, apparently almost nude. Hypopy- gium greyish black or greyish brown, as in similis with the arms of
