MacLellan’s Castle is a large 16th century L-plan tower house. Named after Sir Thomas MacLellan of Bombie (d. 1597). Defensive features were reduced in its building, but it does have gunloops. The building dates from 1582. King James VI once visited and stayed at the castle. Now under ownership and care of Historic Scotland.
