Men of the Chang tribe of Nagaland, India, perform a cultural dance at the annual Hornbill Festival


The Hornbill Festival takes place in the first week of December in the state of Nagaland in northeast India. The tribes of Nagaland meet at the festival site at the Naga Heritage Village, Kisama just outside Kohima, the capital of the state, to celebrate their culture. They present their dances and music in a very colourful display put on at the special festival site at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama It features traditional arts, dances, folk songs, and games. All this takes place amidst immaculate replicas of tribal buildings, complete with wood carvings.
