Cancer research. Researcher using immunohistochemistry to study the human intestine. The screen shows a section through the human intestine as seen through the microscope. Antibodies, which are designed to attach to proteins on the surface of intestinal cells, are joined to a tag (black dots on screen) that makes them easily identifiable on the micrograph.
