Saint Patricks Cross, lit at night. The carved stone markings can be seen more clearly at night by the up-lighting as can be seen here and gives more atmosphere to the image. The cross is believed to have dated from the last quarter of the seventh century and is one of the oldest in Europe. Location: Carndonagh on the Inishowen Peninsula, County Donegal, Ireland, Taken in July 2006.
