Chicoreus palmarosae, Predatory sea snail from The Chagos Archipelago in the Indian Ocean. Chagos has some of the most pristine coral in the world, home to eight times more reef fish than anywhere else in the Indian Ocean. It is part of one of the world's largest no-take marine protected areas, the size of France, where extractive and other human activity is restricted. However, environmental change and illegal exploitation still loom. 20140766
