Dedicated in 2005, this gift of the class of 2002 honors the work of "The People of Color Bound and Free" to build UNC. Made of polished granite and bronze, it was designed by Korean artist Do-Ho Suh. It stands 100 meters from the Confederate soldier "Silent Sam" statue in McCorkle Place.
