The cradles are tipped up so that the type in thecases is all in view of the operator through the glassfronts. Behind the bottom of each channel of the case is a steel PROGRESS IN PRINTING. 355 pusher, A, which the depression of the corresponding keyB will force through the slot at the bottom of the caseagainst the foot of the lowest type in the channel, which itwill force forward, out of the case.
