Besides these, inthe 90 Days Test, Alteration stood third in netprofit when she was taken sick; Islip Lenoxwas ninth in this test of the 75 competing, andLittle Goldie, her stable companion, followedher closely, being thirteenth. All these cowswere the property of Hood Farm. Each oneof these cows was not only a great butter-maker but also a great milker. Each one ofthem exceeded 40 lbs. in 24 hours in the Test,aud adhered very closely to 40 lbs. per the Tests. Hood Farm holds with Signals Lily Flagg31035 the Silver Challenge Cup for the greatestproduction of butter in a year, namely, 1047lbs. 3-4 oz.
