Ezekiel Williams was another prominent man who was apioneer in insurance. His grandfathers sermons had inspiredthe first Governor Trumbull; his uncle William Williamswas one of the signers; a grand-uncle had served as bothpreacher and fighter in the Revolutionary War, and also asrector of Yale College. So, too, Goodwin and Hudson founded the HartfordCourant, that admirable journal that since 1764, has dealt out 218.
