A Polish hussar sabre, circa 1680, Slightly curved, single-edged blade with broadening, double-edged point. At the reverse of the blade root remains of straight quillons with long cross-piece, the arms widening conically towards the terminals. One arm pierced with a hole for the knuckle chain. Leather covered grip, both iron rivets fitted with brass decorative discs. Iron pommel cap with attached knuckle chain.
