The Pump House 1878 Albert Dock Liverpool with vintage Jowett Bradford 'Liverpool Ice Cream' van in foreground

Built in 1870 and added to the Albert Dock system providing hydraulic power with the water fed at high pressure through underground pipes to power cranes, lifts & heavy machinery. The Pump House was used as a chandlery store and in the most recent modernisation became a pub restaurant. The ice cream van is a vintage Jowett Bradford vehicle.
