Similajau National Park protects an area of coastal rainforest to the east of the city of Bintulu, on the north coast of Borneo, in the Malaysian state of Sarawak. The forest includes extensive mangrove swamps, areas of densely tangled trees with roots protruding above the water, as shown in this image.
