The Prince of Wales accompanied by the Crown Prince of Denmark and attended by Major Grey and Captain Lund, arrived a few minutes after the Commander-in-Chief. The illustrious party were received with a Royal salute by the troops, the several bands playing "God Save the ;...After the Royal ceremony of "trooping the colours" was Duke of Cambridge expressed himself highly pleased with the marching of the flank companies and the soldier-like appearance of the men. The bands then played the guard to St. James's, and the troops marched to their respective quarters; while the bands played, as usual, the National Anthem'. From "Illustrated London News", 1869.
