The Distinguished Service Cross medal prior to being awarded at a ceremony held at 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado, March 1, 2019, for Maj. Thomas G. Bostick, Jr., who was killed in action on July, 27, 2007 near Kamu, Afghanistan. Bostick was posthumously awarded for actions while serving as commander of Company B, 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team.
