Five 5 Yellow Shrubby Potentilla, Wildflowers, 7/8 inch -- Rose Family
Beautiful shrub found naturally in the NW of North America, and also used as an ornamental plant for residential and commercial property. Shrubby Potentilla, Potentilla species. Also called Shrubby Cinquefoil, or simply a Cinquefoil, and is a member of the rose family (Rosaceae). This shrub with its slightly waxy leaves is found on the edges of may forested areas where they transition into the drier open sagebrush areas. The yellow 5-petal disk-like flowers are about inch diameter and the shrubs grow to a couple feet high. Besides being found in the wild, they are popular for home and commercial ornamental landscaping in the Pacific Northwest of the United States and Canada.
