While it has gained great popularity as a winter cut flower, it is equally good for garden purposes, the long buds of perfect form, as well as the high centered full double flowers are of a dazzling scarlet, shad- ing to a deeper pure red as they develop; of strong vigorous and free flowering habit. $ per 100. Beautifully formed long pointed buds of a glowing cerise-red with yellow suffusion at the base; the petals as they unfold spread widely with a splendid reflex ulti- mately showing the stamens.
