A massive iron roll for a rolling mill leaving the yard on a L & NW Railway wagon drawn by 20 shire horses. Thomas Perry founded his iron founders in 1806 and gradually came to specialise in the heavier end of the iron manufacturing business, making armour plate, boilers, safes, rolling mills, gears and large steam engines
