The curtain opening is aboutforty-eight feet in width by forty-one in height. There isa depth of some thirty feet below the stage, and the heightfrom the stage to the fly floor is sixty-six feet. There are seven rows of side scenes, or wings,with considerable space beyond the most remote, for per-spective. The stage is provided with traps, bridges, andall imaginable contrivances for effect, and is believ ed tounite more im-provements, and to be the best arranged ofany structure of the kind in this country. green-room, on the level of the stage, is a decidedly comfortablelooking apartment, thirty-four by eighteen feet, neatly iln-ished and tinted, handsomely carpeted, and furnishedaround the sides w
