Pictured: Pawfect landing Great Dane touches down at Edinburgh Airport. A new service between Edinburgh and the Danish city of Aalborg has taken off this morning (Thurs 27 June). The twice-weekly service will operate on Mondays and Thursdays with Great Dane Airlines and is the only UK service to Aalborg outside of London. Jonathan Rayner, Aviation Director at Edinburgh Airport said: “We’re adding another destination and another airline to our list and as an airport that seeks to grow through choice, we are happy to bring Aalborg and Great Dane Airlines onboard. “We’re sure our fantastic capital city and country will be a huge draw for visitors and look forward to connecting our two cities.” Background The flight will be operated by an 118-seat ERJ-190 aircraft. Flight schedule for both days: Departs Arrives Aalborg at 0700 Edinburgh at 0745 Edinburgh at 0830 Aalborg at 1115 It’s the third Danish city on Edinburgh Airport’s destination list, joining Copenhagen and Billund.
