WRITE FOR PRICES. 2423 . 25 West Fourteenth St. GRAND SHEET METAL WORKS The LARGEST MANUFACTURERS of BASKET LINERS in AMERICA CHICAGO, ILLINOIS BOSTON. The Market. It cannot truthfully be stated that it is a brisk market and, but for a large amount of funeral work, the market would be decidedly weak. Milder weather has hurried flowers along and, in spite of some dark days, supplies readily increase. Prices have not de- clined much within a week and, even if they had, growers have had excellent business since Christmas and satisfac- tory prices. There is a largely in- creased supply of roses of fine quality and, as a natural consequence, values have dropped a little. Killarney is down to $3 per hundred for shorts, but other varieties have held up to $4 to $6 per hundred, such varieties as Russell, Hadley, Scott Key, Crusader and Pil- grim bringing the most money. Yel- lows are rather more plentiful and sell well. Ophelia is plentiful, but Mme. Butterfly is gradually supplanting it. Carnations are almost at their flood tide and prices on them are much the same as for short-stemmed
