Lieutenant Cooper of the 26th Division is pictured with a rabbit found in a German dugout. German soldiers used to raise rabbits for food in their Second Line Trench. This photograph was taken by Pvt. Liles on September 13, 1918. Taken in France, it shows the camaraderie between American and French officers during World War One.
