Another variety of the Silver- leaved, with delicately cut and curled foliage, very distinct and fine. $ var. "Wag-nerl laciiiiatum. Wagner's Cut-leaved Silver Maple. A distinct and remarkable variety, with delicately cut foliage. $ var. W^ierii laciniatuiii. Wier's Cut-leaved Silver Maple. In- troduced by us in 1S78. It is a variety of the Silver-leaved, and one of the most remarkable and bcLUitiful trees with cut or dissected foliage. Its growth is rapid, shoots slender and drooping, giving it a habit almosfc as graceful as the Cut-leaved Birch. The foliage is abundant, silvery underneath, and, on the young wood espec- ially, deeply and delicately cut. The leaf stalks are long and tinted with red on the upper surface.
