Gdynia, Poland 17th, January 2013 Taking command of the Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group 1 ceremony in Gdynia War Harbour. ORP "Admiral Xawery Czernicki" - Polish command ship will head NATO's Defence Forces Countermeasure Team. This team, popularly known as the "European Shield mine" belongs to the NATO Response Forces. The Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group 1 (SNMCMG1) is one of NATO`s two specialist Mine Countermeasures (MCM) Groups.
