Assam is he largest of the seven North Eastern States of India. It is a state rich of culture, agriculture and wildlife. Satras are Hindu Monasteries which are unique and special to the Ekasarana tradition. There are more than 50 of them on the river island of Majuli, in the middle of the Brahmaputra. Dakikhim Pat Satra is one of the largest Satras, home to dozens of male monks of all ages.
