VICTORIA PARK HOUSE, LONDON, E9, UNITED KINGDOM, ARCHITECT RICHARD GLOVER, A thorough renovation and extension of a terrace house in east London overlooking Victoria Park. The rear extension features a profiled timber stress-skin roof providing stability to the extension as a lateral cantilever tied back in to the existing brickwork construction. In dealing with the stability of the extension in this manner the columns at the rear were able to be very slender and hidden within the glass framing. A mezzanine level is hung from rods within the rear extension.
