It is a quick and certain emetic, and it isclaimed, does not produce depression, but the writer would recom-mend great care in its use. The dose for a two-year-old child is2 to 5 grains (), repeated in fifteen minutes if necessary. If as much as 5 grains () has been given, and emesis does notfollow, other emetics or the stomach-pump must be used to preventgastro-intestinal irritation. Yellow Wash. Yellow wash (Lotio Hydrargyri Flam, B. P.) is made by adding30 grains () of corrosive sublimate to a pint (480 cc) of lime-water.
