One of three native seed gardens indicate that prairie restoration is already underway at Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie. These gardens are beginning to produce the seeds needed to replant native prairie vegetation on over 15,000 acres that were part of the Joliet Army Ammunition Plant for over 50 years.
