This is the first time the UAE fighters have participated in Red Flag. Red Flag is a realistic combat training exercise involving the air forces of the United States and its allies. Flying for Red Flag 09-5 begins Aug. 24 and ends Sept., 4. aircraft will come from Nellis in Nevada, Massachusetts, Utah, Louisiana California, Washington, Oklahoma, Arizona, Florida, and Kansas.
