Model of A Pump Windlass, Buldsmederij Leiden, c. 1852 demonstration model Model of a roasting spindle on a floor board. The octagonal drum, suspended between two cheeks that form the roasting pillar with two servants each, is also equipped with small drums outside the cheeks. The roasting spindle is operated with two wind trees on a yoke on the strut in the middle: there are two rails around the drum, on which brake mechanics run that block with an upward movement and are free if they fall, and each on one side of the yoke. The connecting rods between yoke and REM mechanics can be put in two
