PACIFIC OCEAN (Dec. 14, 2016) An E-2C Hawkeye assigned to the Wallbangers of Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 117 lands on USS John C. Stennis' (CVN 74) flight deck during carrier qualifications. John C. Stennis is underway to conduct routine training in the 3rd Fleet area of responsibility.
