The woodwithin the thigh circumferences was accurately sawn out, the models stepped into theirrespective spaces, and the boards were raised till they nearly reached the gluteal folds,when supports were placed under the boards at each side ; then blocks were removed frombeneath the feet of the models and left them supported by their buttocks, which, beingpreviously greased, left their imprint wherever in contact with the board.
