"Franz Reilhofer's Alpine Yodlers" circa 1885, in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Franz's group, under various names, traveled extensively playing and singing in their Tyrolean costumes. They played vaudeville and all sorts of local events such as music shows, town celebrations, etc. Similarly as did many circus performers, this musical group carried lots of photos to be sold to audience members to supplement their performance income.
