Glasgow Polmadie-based Drummong 0-6-0 stands at Elinton Street station with a passenger train on 10th August 1957. Elinton Street (at milepost 1) was the first station out of Glasgow Central and was on both inner and outer routes. The Cathcart Circle was in fact pear shaped with Glasgow at the stem (the north end). The points for the Cathcart Circle lay at the south end of Eglinton Street station.
