An important item of business voted upon and decided affirmatively wasthe amendment of Article IV. and Article IX. of our Constitution. A traveler passing through our gates to Japan was with us, and gave adelightful personal missionary touch to our meeting,—Miss Mary BryantDaniels, niece of Hon. J. P. Rankin, of the First Church, San goes from her home in Northampton,—the lonely, homeless home, bereftof the widowed mothers presence only a few short months ago. The callto work in foreign lands came to her just at a time when she felt she mustmake some decided change—that her home was no longer home to her. Itwas no cherished plan to be
