On 27 July 1472 Walter of Auchlevyn isdescribed by George, Earl of Huntly, as his kinsman andsquire. To a letter of that date by the Earl, appointingSir Alexander Home of that Ilk his bailie over the landsof Pogo in Berwickshire, he appends his kinsman Waltersseal. In Walters accounts for the burgh of Banff from20 June 1472 onwards, an annual payment of £4 is madeto him out of the customs of the burgh, as bailie forJonete, Lady Edmondistoune,
